Quality Assurance

Quality Assurance is an integral part of the backbone of any large organization. In the New Media Design and Web Development Certificate to Diploma pathway at BCIT we learned about many intricate ways to ensure exceptional Quality Assurance. On a personal level I intend to be as detail oriented as possible when documenting technical issues involving Web Scripting and Software.

Below you will find a project documentation PDF for a term project that was completed for my Quality Assurance for Interactive Media class. The accompanying 1 page prototype website for the fictional bakery entitled Sweet Tooth Bakery can found by clicking the relevant link in the document or by navigating to the prototype page in my portfolio website's Web Development section.

The development process for this prototype involved completing this concept from its mockup form to a final viable prototype. The mockups in particular required a card like display for the Menu, Order Online and Custom Design pages. Many steps were taken in order to ensure that a quality one page prototype was delivered upon the projects completion along with the Project Documentation and vast array of other project deliverables. Please note that links provided to external platforms such as Trello require permission in order to view visuals such as boards or to access our group's private GitHub repository. If you are a prospective employer: hard copy mockups, screenshots of boards etc. can be provided upon request. Although Trello is the platform used for ticketing in this project, I am also very skilled in Atlassian's other product JIRA, which is the standard by which most large organizations operate.

Additionally, I have provided a bug report sample to demonstrate how I approach documentating important bugs to be aware of in the Quality Assurance process as I was the Project Manager for this group based term project.

Lastly, I have provided a Test Plan from my first assignment for my Quality Assurance for Interactive Media class in order to demonstrate how I formulated a test plan for this particular assignment. Please note that the photography page for my website has been removed from my website's navigation system and due to other topics being of more importance to my future employment opportunities this photography page will only be possible to access through this document or by saving/copying and pasting into your browser of choice.
